DETROIT – New court documents are giving us more information into an intricate scheme federal authorities say took place at the MGM Grand Detroit casino.
Counterfeit driver’s license, quick changes in the bathroom and the use of prosthetics to hide the identity of the person accused in these crimes were all involved. Tens of thousands of dollars were stolen.
The suspect, a Harper Woods man, is behind bars. John Christopher Colletti is accused of using prosthetics, and in some cases, full face masks and props to appear like an elderly man as he ripped off casinos.

“They have rigged up some kind of situation where when they flush the toilet, it will come out into the yard,” resident Leo Scott said.
After the Local 4 Defenders brought his complaint to the attention of city officials, a group of city and county workers showed up to help the homeowner. Their help has given a local family a second chance to have a safe and clean home.
“We pulled together as many partners as we could around the needs of the family,” said David Bowser, Director of Human Services for the city of Detroit.
About 20 to 25 murder cases are reported a year in Oakland County, said Karen McDonald, the new county prosecutor. But there have been seven reported since December.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A lawsuit filed by a father and son alleges that students at one Metro Detroit high school attacked and forced the son to participate in sexualized games during a retreat in 2019.
The father, a longtime teacher at St. Mary’s Preparatory High School in Orchard Lake, and his son, a student, filed a lawsuit outlining a series of sexualized games allegedly played by the school’s student athletes. The lawsuit claims that when the son chose not participate in the games, the other students attacked him.
