Leander Police Investigating Murder of Their Dispatcher The Leander Police Department recently announced the identity of a woman who was killed in a stabbing as their very own police dispatcher. According to a report from the Leander Police Department, Miles Speight, 19, is believed to have stabbed and killed his mother, Rowena Speight, 53, following some sort of dispute. Rowena had been employed with the Leander Police Department as a Telecommunications Officer since 2016.
