The Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness, which offers emergency shelter and supportive housing, is appealing council’s decision to approve a 24-storey tower at Dundas and Hewitt streets, taking the case to an Ontario tribunal that rules on land-use disputes.

LANCASTER Dozens of people stood outside the South Glengarry municipal office to protest a new campground site on Monday afternoon.
Around 40 people attended the protest against a campground adjacent to Cooper Marsh Conservation Area on Monday, as smog from northern wildfires descended upon the region.
