The Congress Karnataka unit on Friday announced that the MPs, MLAs and MLCs will use their Local Area Development fund to the tune of Rs 100 crore for procuring vaccines. The government has miserably failed to protect the people and vaccinate people. Hence, the MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the Congress, who are 95 in number have decided to donate at least Rs one crore each to procure vaccine, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is also the Congress legislative party leader, said at a press conference here.

Thoothukudi MP K. Kanimozhi continued her second day electioneering in Radhapuram, Nangnueri and Ambasamudram Assembly segments where she met people from various walks of life. Tap Water Connections Reach Over 6 Crore Rural Households 70
New Delhi: 278 lakh Households (HHs) have been provided tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission which was announced on 15 August, 2019. At present 6.01 Crore rural households in the country are getting potable water in their households through taps. 18 districts across the country have provided tap connections to all households and States are competing with each other to ensure tap water supply to every home. The Ministry of Jal Shakti has been implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), in partnership with States with an aim to provide potable water in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis through tap connections to every rural home in the country by 2024.
