Afghan leader Ustad Karim Khalili will arrive in Pakistan today for a three-day trip from January 11 till January 13, said the Foreign Office on Sunday.
The FO said that the lead of Afghanistan s Hezb-e-Wahdat-e Islami will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other leaders.
The FO said that the visit is part of Pakistan s policy of reaching out to Afghanistan s political leadership to develop a common understanding on the Afghan peace process and deepen people-to-people linkages .

An Afghan delegation led by Hezb-e-Wahdat-e Islami Ustad Karim Khalili is arriving Islamabad today [Monday] on a three-day visit to Pakistan.
Foreign Office in a statement said during the visit, Ustad Karim Khalili will call on the Prime Minister and hold meetings with Speaker National Assembly, Foreign Minister and other dignitaries.
The visit of Ustad Karim Khalili is part of Pakistan s ongoing policy to reach out to political leadership in Afghanistan to forge common understanding on the Afghan peace process and deepen people-to-people linkages.

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met prominent Political leader Ustad Karim Khalili at the Presidential Palace, a statement said yesterday.
Both sides discussed the current situation of the country, the national consensus and second round of peace talks to ensure lasting and dignified peace in the country, the presidential press office statement added.
This comes as Karim Khalili, head of Wahdat-i-Islami party did not attend High Council for National Reconciliation’s (HCNR) meeting on Saturday, citing his speech was censored in the council’s previous meetings.
