May 25, 2021 / 11:21 AM EST COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – An Indianapolis man is behind bars after he set another man on fire during an argument. According to the Columbus Police Department, officers were called to a residence in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street around 3:45 a.m. Monday. Police arrived to the scene and found a man who had sustained burns over a significant portion of his body. CPD said 39-year-old Ralph Shaw, during an argument with an injured man, threw gasoline on him and proceeded to set him on fire. The injured man was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. On Monday afternoon, officers located Shaw, who was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.

Apr 26, 2021 / 12:47 PM EST WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A teenager was killed in a Wayne County crash Saturday morning, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Just after 3 a.m. on April 24, deputies were called to the 2700 block of State Road 121 for a crash with injury. An early investigation revealed that a 2008 silver Pontiac G6, driven by 19-year-old Korion Farris, was headed westbound of State Road 121 when the vehicle, for an undetermined reason, left the roadway. After exiting on the south side of the road, the Pontiac G6 rolled several times. Ultimately, the vehicle struck two other vehicles before coming to a stop on its wheels.
