CJCSC visits army air defence ranges Pakistan Wed, Apr 07, 2021 Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza visited army air defence ranges near Karachi and witnessed the firing of different air defence weapon systems, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Wednesday. The CJCSC witnessed the firing of air defence weapon systems and surface to air missiles (SAMs), including LY-80 Missiles and FM-90 Missiles, the military s media wing  said in a statement. The firing marked the culmination of the army s air defence exercise Al-Bayza-II , said the statement. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong were also present during the exercise.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza, who is on an official visit to Turkey, has called on Turkish Minister of National Defence General Retired Hulusi Akar, at Ankara. According to ISPR, the CJCSC also had separate meeting with Commander Turkish Armed Forces and Chiefs of the tri-services General Yasar Guler. He also visited Turkish Aerospace Industries. During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Afghanistan. The two sides also dilated upon measures to enhance cooperation in the field of defence production and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the excellent relationship.
