FITCHBURG, Wis. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County is hosting its third COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday.
According to a news release, the clinic will be at the Allied Family Center Boys and Girls Club at 4619 Jenewein Road in Fitchburg starting at 10 a.m.
Saturday’s clinic will be for Pfizer’s shot, with people receiving their second dose at the Club on May 15.
Organizers said they are hoping to reach members of the community that the Club serves as a way to increase access and eliminate barriers.
A release said registration for the clinic is full, but walk-ups will be available while supplies last.

Completely online, the master’s program at UW-Madison is the first of its kind in the country, said Cody Wenthur, an assistant professor at UW-Madison’s School of Pharmacy. He is the director of the new Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation master’s program, Wisconsin Public Radio reports.
Wenthur said students’ training will focus on psychedelics, dissociatives, cannabinoids and other psychoactive pharmaceuticals. Anyone interested in applying for the master’s degree program can do so by July 31 for fall admission.
“We’re particularly interested in training students to enter the growth pharmaceutical industry surrounding the use of these substances, providing them with the tools to understand the data and also to work in an ethical manner and adhere to all the regulatory pieces surrounding the use of these compounds,” he said.
