The Effingham County Health Department Thursday announced the COVID-related deaths of a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 70s.
The Health Department also announced 26 new positive test results.
Here are the demographics:
MALE one teen, three in their 20s, three in their 30s, one in his 40s, one in his 50s, one in his 60s, and one in his 80s.
FEMALE one less than 10 years old, three teens, one in her 20s, one in her 30s, four in their 40s, three in their 50s, and two in their 60s.

The Fayette County Health Department reported 30 new positive COVID-19 for the county on Wednesday with one case linked to the congregate facility outbreak. Overall, Fayette County is now at 2,440 total cases and 41 deaths.
The Effingham County Health Department reported 35 new positive COVID-19 cases and 1 additional COVID-19 related death in the county on Wednesday. The county’s 7-day rolling positivity rate dropped over a percent again for the second day in a row on Wednesday, down to 15.8% for the time period through December 13. That is down from 17.1% on Tuesday and 18.5% on Monday.
The Marion County Health Department reported 16 new positive cases on Wednesday. Marion County has reached an overall total of 2,604 positive cases and reported one additional death on Wednesday to reach 90 overall deaths. Marion County’s overall positivity rate remains at 7.0% and the county currently has dropped down to 307 active cas

HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Thursday administered the first COVID-19 vaccine dose to hospital colleague Rebecca Kistner, RN, who works on the hospital’s medical/surgical care floor. The first physician to receive the vaccine was Dr. Sheera Lall, an emergency department provider. All of the vaccines were administered smoothly and safely.
