DeKALB – The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., will host a free Pride event in partnership with several local nonprofit organizations on June 18 to celebrate Pride Month. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a march around downtown and then the Egyptian Theatre will show “Love, Simon” at 7 p.m. followed by a panel-led.

SANTA MONICA, CA The Aero Theatre, which has been closed for more than a year since the pandemic began, reopens Thursday in Santa Monica.
American Cinematheque, the nonprofit cultural, arts and film preservation group behind the theatre, announced last month that showings would begin again at 1328 Montana Avenue starting June 10. The nonprofit also plans to expand programming to a Los Feliz theater.
An advance screening of Lin-Manuel Miranda s The Heights will be the first to show ahead of theaters nationally on June 11. Other programming in June includes 70mm screenings of classics 2001: A Space Odyssey, Vertigo, Lawrence of Arabia and Tenet.
