Dubai: An Egyptian woman was raped four times by a judge and his two friends after being lured and taken to a villa in Alexandria, local media reported.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution has referred an appeals judge and two of his friends to immediate trial after he was suspected of soliciting, kidnapping and raping the woman.
According to Almasry Alyoum (Egypt Today) newspaper, the defendants, who are a merchant and a contractor, in addition to the judge, held the victim down until she fell unconscious and then proceeded to rape her four times.
The victim said that the first accused had deceived her on the pretext of holding a conference on real estate investment in Alexandria. He asked her to accompany him and the rest of the accused. Arrangements were made for her to stay in a separate hotel in Marina, Alexandria.

The Public Prosecutor in Rome on Wednesday officially requested legal action against four Egyptian National Security Agency officers accused of the murder of Italian student Giulio Regeni in Cairo in 2016.
Italian news agencies quoted the Public Prosecution office stating that the four officers, Major General Tariq Saber, Colonel Aser Kamel Muhammad Ibrahim, Colonel Husam Helmy and Major Ibrahim Abdel Al-Sharif, are accused of kidnapping, conspiring to commit murder and inflicting severe bodily harm.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its rejection of the Egyptian Public Prosecution s decision to close the investigation into the murder of Italian researcher Giulio Regeni.
The ministry announced in a statement: The allegations of the Public Prosecution in Egypt regarding the tragic death of Regeni in 2016 are unacceptable, reported Italian news agency

The statement called on Cairo to share information on the case with Rome, and to cooperate with the Italian public prosecutor s office with the aim of finding the truth, while pledging to resolve the issue through international diplomatic channels, including the European Union.
