RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 8, 2021 (WAFA) – Palestinians in Israel have called for demonstrations today in support of Jerusalem as Arab countries and leaders strongly condemned the latest Israeli measures and attacks against Palestinian in the occupied holy city.
The Arab Follow-Up Committee, which represents the Palestinians inside Israel, called for a mass rally today in support of Jerusalem in light of an escalation of Israeli aggression against the city’s Palestinian population including last night’s brutal attack by the police against Muslim worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s old city.
Turkey and Egypt Hold Reset Talks In Cairo

Officials from Turkey and Egypt have met in Cairo on Wednesday for talks aimed at resetting relations after almost a decade of tensions.
Leading the cadre of Turkish officials in Cairo was Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onel who met with Egyptian officials led by Hamdi Loza, Egypt’s Deputy Foreign Minister. The talks, which are described as “political consultations,” will take place across the next two days.

Egypt revealed today, Thursday, the details of the exploratory round of consultations and talks with Turkey, which took place in Cairo and focused on the files of Libya, the Eastern Mediterranean, Syria and Iraq.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that after two days of deliberations and exploratory discussions between the delegations of Egypt and Turkey, which were held in Cairo, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamdi Sanad Loza, and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey, Ambassador Sadat Onal, the discussions were frank and in-depth.
