Industry veteran Geraldine Ree has penned a new book, Flying Colors: The Travel Advisor s Guide to Breakthrough, aimed at helping experienced travel advisors strongly recover from the pandemic. Travel advisors have been among the hardest hit financially through this pandemic, Ree said in a statement. It has been a long and exasperating road. A roller coaster of change. Advisors need practical tools to build back confidence and set them up for a successful and prosperous road.
According to a release, the book will help advisors create a fulfilling, financially rewarding business.
Ree, who spent more than two decades with Expedia Cruises and Princess Cruises, also offers coaching and courses for advisors and agency owners. Her new book can be purchased on Amazon or her website, geraldineree.com.

Expedia Adds New Tools to Support its Advisor Partners
February 26, 2021
Expedia Cruises is getting ready for the cruise industry’s recovery by rolling out several new tools for its travel advisor franchise owners.
This week, Expedia said it was adding the new capabilities to its back-office platforms for advisors to be able to secure bookings and earn repeat clients.
“Boosted by encouraging search data at the end of last year and January this year, we want to equip our cruise partners with the best possible technology to allow them to harness demand and ensure repeat customers when travelers are sailing again. Both our new suite of tools and the omnichannel strategy allows them to do just that,” Matthew Eichhorst, president of Expedia Cruises, said.

Expedia Group, which includes Expedia, Hotels.com, Expedia Cruises, and more, held its annual conference last week, updating its members on how the company has dealt with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and reporting what they are seeing heading into the new year.
Matthew Eichorst, president of Expedia Cruises and Global Cruise Leader at Expedia Group, took some time during the week to talk to Travel Market Report about his take on 2020 and what the group is doing to prepare its advisors and franchise owners for 2021.
“Nobody knew the extent of where we were going to be going,” Eichorst told TMR. The group made a number of moves during the pandemic to help its franchise members the best it could, including being lenient with franchise fees and making its fee programs variable, with pricing attached to the recovery.
