Exeter Chamber’s 2021 Economic Forecast goes virtual Portsmouth Herald EXETER – The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce invites its members and the community to the 2021 Economic Forecast on Thursday, February 11. The event will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. virtually on the Zoom platform. Seacoast Safe: Businesses pledge to mitigate COVID-19 spread By Ian Lenahan EXETER Adjusting to everyday operations restricted by the coronavirus, a number of Seacoast businesses have vowed to help keep employees and patrons safe with the protocols of the Seacoast Safe initiative. Brought to life by Jennifer Wheeler, president of the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, and members of her Seacoast Chamber Alliance cohorts in November, the Seacoast Safe pledge ensures businesses are “demonstrating their commitment to the health and safety of the community by following the recommended public health guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.” A Seacoast Safe sticker is placed on a store’s window and owners are given access to an online booklet of necessary resources. Wheeler said, “All of this is designed to increase consumer confidence while building awareness of the measures businesses are taking to keep the Seacoast safe, healthy and open.”

Seacoast forum is for businesses, job seekers Portsmouth Herald DOVER, NH – The Seacoast Chamber Alliance will host an Employability Forum on Tuesday, December 15, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., in a virtual format. The concept of employability is of interest to both businesses and job seekers, as these skills and attributes are critical to a productive and smoothly functioning workforce. In today s world, and especially in New Hampshire where the labor market is tight, it is important to hire technical or subject matter experts who also display well-rounded employability skills. The Employability Forum will highlight many of the intangible skills that are needed in today s workplace, such as communication, integrity, self motivation, teamwork, and adaptability.
