Ahsan Khan s show fined for using animals as prop | Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF)

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has imposed a fine of Rs500, 000 on a national entertainment channel for using animals as prop in its program Time Out with Ahsan Khan. A petition was filed against the program, which is hosted by Pakistani film and television actor Ahsan Khan, by lawyer Faizullah Khan Niazi on behalf of Santia Gulzar against the TV channel and show. “PEMRA saw fit to accept my arguments and impose a fine on Express Entertainment for using animals as props for the purposes of entertainment in its show Time Out with Ahsan Khan,” wrote Niazi on Twitter.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed a Rs500,000 fine on Express Entertainment for the use of animals as props on Time Out with Ahsan Khan. The petition was filed by lawyer Faizullah Khan Niazi on behalf of Santia Gulzar against the TV channel for its violations and animal abuse. Announcing the news on Twitter, Niazi said, PEMRA saw fit to accept my arguments and impose a fine on Express Entertainment for using animals as props for the purposes of entertainment in its show Time Out with Ahsan Khan . The CoC [Council of Complaints] upheld the rights of animals and stopped unnecessary pain and suffering being caused to them, he wrote.

PEMRA Fines Time Out With Ahsan Khan For Rs 500,000

SHARES Time Out with Ahsan Khan is under fire once again. Regulatory authority PEMRA slapped a fine of Rs 500,000 on the show after a complaint was filed. The Express Entertainment show was charged because of using innocent animals as props. ALSO READ Why was the show fined? Santia Gulzar who is also an animal rights activist registered this complaint after which a case was pursued by Lawyer Faizullah Khan Niazi. “PEMRA saw fit to accept my arguments and impose a fine on  Express Entertainment for using animals as props for the purposes of entertainment in its show  Time Out with Ahsan Khan,” wrote Niazi on Twitter.

Despite its name, Oye Motti is not trying to body shame anyone - Comment

Twitter s going haywire over Express Entertainment s currently airing TV series Oye Motti and we we want to clear the air about the show. Not because we have any vested interest in the TV show, or correcting the public, but simply because it s gone on too long with no one trying to confirm their (faulty) assumptions. The entire meltdown originates from one video: the promo for episode nine of Oye Motti. It sounds pretty awful and not PC at all on its own, but that s the point: it is not meant to be viewed on its own. People are mad though.
