Express Employment Professionals in Texarkana, USA hosted their 5th annual toy drive, noting that “COVID Can’t Stop Santa.” Staff members from Express chose to support Child Protective Services and children who are placed in foster care through this year’s drive. The goal was 1,500 toys and they went way beyond by collecting over 2,000 toys!
Often taken from their homes with only the clothes on their back, children served by CPS are vulnerable and need comfort. Toys donated to CPS/ Department of Human Services are used at the time of placement and throughout the year for birthdays, Christmas and other holidays.
This is certainly a different type of holiday season and while nothing feels quite the same, Carousel Ranch was able to keep things safe for the holidays while still bringing the joy of their annual “Santa Day” festivities into the hearts and homes of every student.
With the help of Pardee Homes, returning as the event’s sponsor for the 14th year straight – Santa Day at Home, was a great success – bringing each student a “Santa Day box” literally packed full of fun.
The box was meant to replicate the many things that the students usually experience at the annual party held at the ranch. Each box included a letter from Santa, stationary and an envelope addressed to Santa at the North Pole, a Christmas card from their Carousel Ranch instructor, reindeer food, homemade cookies, a s’mores kit, craft kits, temporary holiday tattoos, a plush toy and even a very special Carousel Ranch coloring book with crayons made especially for this occasion (to name a few of the item

PINE BLUFF, Ark First Ward Living Grace Pantry served the community in their third annual Christmas Toy and Food Drive on Sunday afternoon at Southeast Middle School.
This was part two of their event after running out of food last weekend for people and families.
Hundreds were in attendance then, and the need outweighed the supply. Because of the virus. People are getting laid off on their jobs. They got the kids at home homeschooling.
