At a virtual hearing, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Huennekens signed off on Alpha Media s restructuring plans over the U.S. trustee s objections, noting that most of the creditors the trustee said should have been better informed of their ability to opt out of the legal releases have no reason to object to the plan.

Cotriena Machelle Embers pleaded guilty on August 10, 2020 to bankruptcy fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft and was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant. The judge left open the possibility of ordering restitution to the identity theft victim in the case.

US Trustee Says Mallinckrodt Fee Deals Still Defective

The U.S. Trustee's Office asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge Monday to reject Mallinckrodt's pre-petition proposed fee agreements with its restructuring professionals, including Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP and Gilbert LLP, arguing that the drugmaker hasn't fixed the deficiencies that caused the judge to reject its previous fee request.
