The AGM-88 missile is one of several features in an FMS modification for Lockheed Martin to assist the Peace Phoenix Rising 2 programme for Taiwan.
The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded a maximum $138 million sole-source FMS modification to Lockheed Martin, in connection with the Peace Phoenix Rising 2 programme for Taiwan.
Lockheed Martin will provide automatic ground-collision avoidance technology and the Raytheon AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM), as well as improved radar software, an updated data acquisition system and advanced IFF for the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) F-16A/B Block 20 MLU programme.

USAF requires enterprise management software support for its Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile.
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is sustaining, modernising and enhancing enterprise management software for the AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), under a new $59.29 million contract from the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
The sole-source deal includes upgrades of operational real-time combat analysis systems, software synchronisation, mission optimisation analysis, terminal area model automation systems engineering, integration and test, plus enhancements to JASSM advanced training.
Work is expected to be completed by 21 March 2022 for the base year.

The US Air Force (USAF) is upgrading its Reaper uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) to make them better prepared to face near-peer threats rather than their traditional counter-terrorism mission.

The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) said in a press release: “The MQ-9 is an unmanned aircraft with intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike capability, traditionally used for Counter-Violent Extremist Organisation (C-VEO) combat operations. That mission is now shifting.”
