U.S. Army awards Oshkosh Contract for Heavy Tactical Vehicles Our Bureau 450
Oshkosh Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV)
The U.S. Army Contracting Command announced that it has awarded Oshkosh Defense a three-year extension to the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) IV contract and initial delivery orders valued at $146.8 million.
Under the extension, Oshkosh will provide new and recapitalized Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT), Palletized Load System (PLS) trucks and trailers, and Heavy Equipment Transporters (HET). The initial delivery orders call for a total of 353 new and recapitalized vehicles.
The FHTV s architecture accommodates additional capabilities such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomy, on-board power, and other technologies.

Existing FMS customers will obtain additional FGM-148 Javelin ATGM systems.
The Javelin JV between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin has obtained another modification from the US Army to its full-rate production contract for the FGM-148 Javelin weapon system.
Under the latest $175.94 million modification, the JV will produce ATGMs for FMS customers Lithuania and Taiwan.
Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of 30 November 2023.
According to data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Lithuania received 160 Javelin missiles between 2003 and 2020 and 750 were delivered to Taiwan between 2005 and 2020.

DoD issues FMS modification for Polish integrated air and missile defence programme.
US Army Contracting Command has issued an $11.62 million FMS modification for Northrop Grumman to install its Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) in Poland.
Work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama, with an estimated completion date of 31 December 2025, the DoD announced on 23 April.
Poland is the first international customer for IBCS, with a $713 million contract for four firing units under the initial phase of the Wisla national air and missile defence programme. According to Shephard Defence Insight, it could decide to buy four more units in the second phase of Wisła.
