SUMMARY Ambrose E. Burnside was a major general in the Union army during the American Civil War (1861–1865). Instantly recognizable for his bushy sideburns (the term itself is derived from reversing his last name), Burnside was one of four men to command the Army of the Potomac in Virginia. West Point cadet from Langhorne selected team leader for skills contest

Courtesy of U.S. Military Academy WEST POINT, NY  Cadet Parker Minotti, of Langhorne, squad leader of Company D-3 at West Point and member of the class of 2021, was selected to serve as a team captain for the 52nd historic Sandhurst Military Skills Competition, held Friday and Saturday at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.   A field of 44 teams competed in the event that represented 25 U.S. Military Academy teams, 16 Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), and three U.S. service academies. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, international teams were not eligible to participate in this year’s event, but they will be allowed to compete next year.
