William Yarborough may not be a name that many Americans recognize but when it comes to Army Green Berets and paratroopers, Yarborough is a legend. He joined the fledgling Army paratroopers shortly before World War II began and designed the army parachute wings still used today.
Yarborough designed the Army jump boots, the paratroopers’ uniform, and various aerial delivery containers that were used by Army airborne troops during the war. During his career, he was shot down in a transport aircraft over North Africa and made four combat jumps with both the 82nd Airborne Division and the 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion of which he was the commander.

The Department of Defense has announced 13 leadership changes for Fort Bragg, since the start of 2021.
On Jan. 25, the chief of staff of the Army announced that Lt. Gen. Bryan P. Fenton would be the commander of the Joint Special Operations Command and Joint Special Operations Command Forward.
Fenton previously served as the senior military assistant to the secretary of defense in Washington, D.C.

Bryan P. Fenton would be the commander of the Joint Special Operations Command and Joint Special Operations Command Forward. Fenton previously served as the senior military assistant to the secretary of defense in Washington, D.C. According to Fenton s biography, he is no stranger to Fort Bragg. He previously served as a battalion commander at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School and as a brigade commander for the Joint Special Operations Command.
