Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors U.S. Army Veteran Nathan Tirey who might just have you think differently about push ups and exercise in general. While many of do push ups for fitness, Nathan has a different focus, he does them to honor those diagnosed with the most common form of cancer in the U.S., chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), something that he was diagnosed with unexpectedly. To help himself and others “push through cancer”, he did a push up challenge online where he completed 176,200 push ups, in an effort to inspire himself and others.
