A little more than half (52%) of employees responding to a recent survey said employers should require workers to receive a coronavirus vaccine; slightly more (57%) of the 1,006 respondents said they were in favor of incentives, according to the Feb. 23 results from Eagle Hill Consulting.
The support for vaccine mandates is up from December, when only 49% of respondents said they liked the idea of such measures. Similarly, there is growing support for employers to continue requiring and encouraging masks, social distancing, COVID-19 testing and temperature checks at work, Eagle Hill noted. Hilliard City Council poised to introduce legislation related to LGBTQ protections

Hilliard City Council could introduce legislation March 8 that is intended to revise city code to extend protection for LGBTQ residents from discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations, according to council member Andy Teater.
“This ordinance is necessary because it expands important civil rights to a segment of our community that currently does not have those protections,” Teater said. “There is some federal protection currently in effect, but those are a confusing mix of legislation, executive orders and case law. This ordinance will protect the LGBTQ residents of Hilliard from discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations.
