This will add 4,000 new jobs in the U.S., while the company will select the locations of the new battery manufacturing plants in the first half of the year. In a statement, president of LG Energy Solution’s Michigan unit, Denise Gray, said the investments are being made in response to the growing demand for electric vehicles, adding the new manufacturing facilities will indirectly create another 6,000 jobs during their construction.
