These Top Penny Stocks Gained Attention on Wednesday; Were You Watching?Â
Wednesday, January 13th was an interesting day for penny stocks. On one hand, we saw many leading names in tech and biotech, get a boost. As a whole, the NASDAQ and NYSE were relatively flat during trading, signaling calm before the coming events. In the next two weeks, political uncertainty will be high yet again in the U.S. After the market closed on Wednesday, the announcement came that the House had voted to impeach President Trump for a second time. While this does not mean immediate impeachment, it is a story that will likely have some kind of impact on the stock market in one way or another. At the present moment, it is difficult to tell just how much penny stocks may be affected, however. Theyâve been relatively insulated from broader trends.Â

U.S. Sen. John Barrasso voiced concern on Fox News Sunday as President-elect Joe Biden s climate team comes into focus. The Republican chairs the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and says he isn t planning to let nominations move forward without a fight.
He s particularly concerned with Biden s pick for Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. Barrasso highlighted a specific comment made by the former Michigan governor at an event back in 2016. We ought to be doing everything we possibly can to keep fossil fuel energy in the ground and developing the renewable side, she said.
“The American Nuclear Infrastructure Act will promote U.S. international leadership, preserve America’s nuclear fuel supply chain, prevent more carbon emissions from entering our atmosphere, and protect our economic, energy, and national security,” EPW Senate Committee Chairman, Senator Barrasso, stated:
The legislation has helped fuel momentum in uranium stocks. Uranium company CEOs are hopeful that an injection of funds from the federal government purchasing uranium for its reserve stockpile will support uranium companies from their present “high risk of insolvency.”
“The bipartisan Nuclear Infrastructure Act is broad reaching legislation, important for supporting the U.S. nuclear fuel industry, national security and clean energy. The legislation will provide a clear path for implementation of the U.S. Uranium Reserve and provide a strong platform to revitalize the U.S. Uranium Industry,” UEC CEO and President, Amir Adnani said in a note.
