(BPT) - When former NBA player Caron Butler was in the league, exercise wasn’t something he needed to worry about during his 14-year professional career. These days, in his new role as an assistant coach at Miami Heat, he’s learned to be more mindful about incorporating physical activity into his daily routine to help maintain good heart health.
“Now that I’m retired, staying in shape is no longer part of my job,” Butler says. “I have to make sure I set aside time to shoot hoops with my kids or go for a walk during the day especially while we’re spending more time at home.”

WASHINGTON - President-elect Joe Biden announced Tuesday that he will nominate Pennsylvania s top health official, Rachel Levine, to be his assistant secretary of health. Levine, a pediatrician, would become the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Dr. Rachel Levine will bring the steady leadership and essential expertise we need to get people through this pandemic - no matter their zip code, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability - and meet the public health needs of our country in this critical moment and beyond, Biden said in a statement. She is a historic and deeply qualified choice to help lead our administration s health efforts.
The United States said on Tuesday that member states must lead efforts to reform the World Health Organization (WHO), including any decision to provide additional funding to the U.N. agency. "It is our duty to provide the WHO and the broader international system with the tools to do its work effectively, efficiently, independently and transparently," Garrett Grigsby of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services who headds the U.S. delegation, told the WHO's Executive Board in Geneva.
The United States, which has accused China of hiding the extent of its initial outbreak, has called for a "transparent" WHO-led investigation and criticised the terms of the visit, under which Chinese experts have done the first phase of research.
