Simone Biles’ abuser Larry Nassar ‘spent $10,000 on prison perks’ despite paying just $100 a YEAR to perv doc’s victims

FORMER US Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar spoiled himself with more than $10,000-worth of prison perks while paying just $100 a year to victims, it was reported Wednesday.
Nassar, 57, who was convicted of sexually violating female athletes including Simone Biles for decades, spent just $8.33 per month over his three years in prison to cover his penalties - despite receiving deposits into his account over this period totaling $12,825, according to a court filing by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joel Fauson.

A report released in July by the U.S. Department of Justice s Inspector General found the FBI failed to follow up on allegations against Nassar with necessary urgency. It also said investigators made false statements that covered up their missteps.
Slotkin said FBI agents need to be held accountable if they are found to have broken the law, and that could include criminal charges.
“If they lied to law enforcement, if they hid things from other law enforcement officers, even as law enforcement officers themselves, they should have to face consequences the same way a normal civilian would face consequences, said Slotkin, whose district includes Michigan State University where Nassar was a sports doctor.

Senate committee to hold hearing on FBI s handling of Nassar case

The Senate Judiciary Committee announced Thursday it will conduct an oversight hearing into the FBI’s “dereliction of duty” in its failure to properly investigate sexual abuse allegations against former Michigan State University sports doctor Larry Nassar.
The announcement comes a day after U.S. Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s office found multiple failures by FBI field offices to properly investigate the allegations against Nassar. The report said senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office “failed to respond . with the urgency that the allegations required and made fundamental errors when it did respond.”
