It happens to more than eight in 10 Covid-19 patients - yet scientists still don t have a firm explanation why the coronavirus knocks out peoples sense of smell. Now, a team of researchers including a University of Auckland neuroscientist are shedding more light on that tell-tale symptom, while also raising some concerning potential long-term neurological effects of Covid-19.
