IMAGEENS, a Paris-based medical Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup developing software solutions for the analysis of medical images, has secured 1.2Mn€ in seed financing. The round was led by Anaxago, with a participation from BADGE (Business Angels des Grandes Ecoles), COALESCENCE, and existing IMAGEENS investors.

The Journal of Pain, researchers found that gender does matter when it comes to the perception of pain and the corresponding treatment options. The study shows that both men and women exhibit this implicit, unconscious bias about the intersection of women and pain. The research shows that gender stereotypes played a role.

The first study had 50 participants watch a video of men and women experiencing shoulder pain. They were asked to estimate the pain through facial expressions and physical reactions.
