The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on May 13 that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear a face mask indoors or practice social distancing, “except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”
The nation was
shocked, to say the least. Yes, that means fully vaccinated folks can now go maskless at indoor events, inside restaurants, during exercise classes, and at worship gatherings. (Major caveat: Masks are still required on public transportation, plus in crowded, high-risk places like hospitals and homeless shelters.)
Bill Maher, Who Is Fully Vaccinated, ‘Feels Fine’ After Contracting COVID-19
Political talk show host and comedian Bill Maher, who is fully vaccinated, has tested positive for COVID-19.
HBO’s political talk show “Real Time with Bill Maher” announced in a statement late Thursday that Maher had tested positive during a weekly staff PCR test for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.
“He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine,” the statement reads.
It added that the Friday taping of the program had been cancelled and rescheduled at a later date. No other staff or crew members have tested positive for the virus.
Fauci: 40 to 50 Percent of His Agency’s Employees Are Not Vaccinated
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said that about 40 percent of his agency’s employees have not received the COVID-19 vaccine, while a deputy at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the agency is reporting similar numbers.
During a Senate hearing, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) asked Fauci, the FDA’s Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research Peter Marks, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky about the percentage of their employees that were vaccinated against COVID-19.

Fauci highlighted the COVID crisis in India and said other nations should help them with vaccines.
India is the new epicenter of the pandemic, with soaring infection rates and a mounting death toll.
