A pro-life activist is calling for Dr. Anthony Fauci to testify before the U.S. Congress about his knowledge of federal funding awarded to a Pennsylvania university conducting experiments on human fetal tissue, including one experiment where aborted baby scalps were grafted onto lab mice.
David Daleiden, the founder of the pro-life activist group Center for Medical Progress, said on Fox News last Thursday that the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases should testify about the nearly $500,000 grant his agency awarded to the University of Pittsburgh to conduct research using aborted babies’ scalps.
Fauci: COVID-19 Booster Shots Will Likely Be Necessary But Timing is Unclear
Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Wednesday that Americans vaccinated against COVID-19 will most likely need a booster shot at some point in the future to guarantee continued protection but that the timing remains unclear.
“I don’t anticipate that the durability of the vaccine protection is going to be infinite it’s just not. So, I imagine we will need, at some time, a booster. What we’re figuring out right now is what that interval is going to be,” Faucisaid during a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing while testifying about the state of medical research and the National Institutes of Health’s budget for fiscal 2022.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz criticized New York Times science reporter Apoorva Mandavilli on Thursday
Mandavilli had sparked outrage by tweeting: Someday we will stop talking about the lab leak theory and maybe even admit its racist roots
The reporter, who mainly covers the coronavirus, swiftly deleted the tweet
In a second tweet she said the original was badly phrased and said her colleagues are investigating lab leak theory
Cruz joined the outcry, writing: She just isn t willing to investigate or report on anything that might hurt her tender feelings
The controversy came amid growing support for the theory that COVID-19 was developed in a Wuhan lab and the Chinese government covered up a leak

Dr. Anthony Fauci.
On social media, Trisha shared a snapshot of herself with the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. âThe opportunity to meet him and thank him in person was not lost on me,â she wrote in the caption, along with a message of encouragement to her fans to consider their vaccination options.
