The U.S. Mission to Pakistan has launched a call for proposals for the
Public Engagement to counter Trafficking in Persons to strengthen the capacity and cooperation of law enforcement agencies and TIP victims services using American experts.
Convene stakeholders working in TIP and train them in victim referral and identification, including victims of bonded labor, thereby increasing referrals and prosecutions. Progress in these areas will help prevent Pakistan from falling to a Tier three country in the State Department’s annual TIP report.
By December 2023, local law enforcement and victims services organizations will have developed a close partnership to aid trafficking victims as evidenced by (1) a 10% increase in direct referrals of victims for services or rehabilitation, and (2) a developed SOP for victim identification in Sindh and Punjab provinces.
