Nashville Mayor Says Bombing Not Consistent With Terrorism

Nashville Mayor Says Bombing Not Consistent With Terrorism Nashville Mayor John Cooper said the Christmas Day explosion in downtown Nashville doesn’t appear to be consistent with a terrorist attack. “I think everybody, the U.S. Attorney, the FBI, has been very careful not to use the ‘T’-word here, because it’s not consistent with ‘T’-word actions,” he said in a CNN interview, adding that the reason why could be due to there being “no manifesto or political statement” written by the suspect. The mayor, meanwhile, told the network that he is hoping that federal aid is provided after the explosion.
