Restrictions on the import of goods from the US have officially been lifted. Sudan has been invited to a donor’s conference in Paris in May.
The Ministry of Finance announced yesterday that the US Department of Commerce and the US Bureau of Industry and Security has lifted restrictions on the export of American products to Sudan.
US companies are now able to do business without anti-terrorism controls and restrictions on US exports and trade to Sudan. These restrictions on US goods, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications technology, and whole aircraft, were suspended following the removal of Sudan from the US State Sponsors of Terrorism (SST) list on December 14.

US Blacklists 103 Chinese And Russian Enterprises Under Military End User’ (MEU) List
“This is a non-exhaustive list, does not imply that parties not included on it are exempt from regulatory prohibitions,” US Department of Commerce warned.
The United States Department of Commerce on December 21 published a list of the Russian and Chinese enterprises that it alleged were co-operating with the military of the two nations. At least 103 firms, 58 Chinese and 45 Russian origins, were comprised under the ’Military End User’ (MEU) List by the Trump administration which restricted them to conduct business or purchase American goods and services. The move established a process by which the US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) will amend the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) for the companies which will “assist the exporters in screening their customers for military end-users,” Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a US dept.
