Lithium Americas owns 49% of the Argentine project. China’s largest lithium company, Ganfeng Lithium, owns the balance. Cauchari-Olaroz is forecasted to produce 40,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually for 40 years. Offtake agreements are in place for 90%+ of production. Total construction costs should be around US$565 million. About US$388 million of those expenditures were incurred through December 31, 2020, up from US$347 million as of September 30, 2020.

(Port Orford, Oregon) – COVID-19 continues to dampen tourism on the Oregon coast, even with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) reopening the vast majority of its facilities. Three indoor historic sites will remain closed at least until April of 2022. Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) made the announcement this week that the Hughes House, Cape Blanco Lighthouse and the Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum will stay shuttered.

The Greater Cement Hill Neighborhood Association extends from Sugarloaf Mountain on its eastern edge, to Highway 49, and then to the ridge line that overlooks the South Yuba River canyon. This land includes the ancestral homeland of the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe and several sites of Gold Rush diggings.
