‘Serial’ bank robber arrested in Dauphin County heist had sued Penn State, Catholic church and Tyler Perry

A Harrisburg man accused of stealing from a local bank this week previously robbed at least 10 others and tried to win big money by claiming to be a victim of Jerry Sandusky and the Catholic church.
Shamont Lyle Sapp, 57, was faced with his latest robbery charges Tuesday after Lower Paxton Township police said he fled with cash from the M&T Bank in the 4900 block of Jonestown Road after threatening a teller.
This is far from the first time Sapp has been accused of using illegal or questionable methods to make money, according to authorities and court records. At one point, he filed a lawsuit against Jamie Foxx and Tyler Perry because he said they stole an idea from him for a movie called “Skank Robbers.”

Thousands of protesters gathered around the Washington Monument Wednesday morning as the Elton John song “Tiny Dancer” played from loud speakers. The song was interrupted by an announcement telling people to leave behind backpacks, chairs and flagpoles so people could get through a security checkpoint. Hundreds of people carried flags. Some were American, some were Trump 2020 flags, at least one said “F CK BIDEN” with the letter U replaced by a flag symbol.
As part of their preparations, police posted signs around the district warning of the illegality of gun possession during protests as Trump tweeted his support for the protesters, saying, “Our Country has had enough, they won’t take it anymore!” and “We Hear you (and love you) from the Oval Office.”
Although weâve already made it to 2021, we still have a few loose ends to tie up from last year. A big one is the 2020 Dano Awards for Glaring Public Stupidity. Itâs named after yours truly because I manage to meet the seminal qualifications on a weekly (if not daily) basis.
But Iâm hardly unique in that regard. Thereâs a lot of stupidity going around, and the Dano Awards honor it. We had umpteen nominees this year. They were almost everywhere you looked. Often you could find them bare-faced in the grocery store.
