FTC right to repair policy to go after product-repair restrictions with new vigor

FTC right to repair policy to go after product-repair restrictions with new vigor July 21, 2021 / 6:56 PM / CBS/AP Biden signs economic executive order Americans would be freer to repair their broken cellphones, computers and videogame consoles themselves, or to use independent repair shops, under changes being eyed by federal regulators. On Wednesday, the five FTC commissioners unanimously adopted a policy statement supporting the right to repair that pledges beefed-up enforcement efforts and could open the way to new regulations.
