Canterbury man charged with murder after woman stabbed to death in Long Acre Close flat

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at a flat in Canterbury.
Police were called to the property in Long Acre Close shortly before 11.30am on Tuesday, following reports a woman had suffered injuries.

Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, where a 50-year-old woman was found with stab wounds.
She was tragically pronounced dead inside the flat.
A 52-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Officers searching for the killer of a retired farm worker allegedly beaten to death during a burglary have released an image of a man they want to talk to. Members of the public have been warned to stay away from Leighton Snook, 28, who could be in Sussex. He is wanted in connection with the suspected murder of Donald Ralph earlier this week. Mr Ralph, 83, was found dead at his home in Aldham, near Colchester, on Tuesday. Mr Snook is said to have links across Essex and to Hastings in East Sussex, Hartlepool and County Durham. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Egerton, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “We urgently need to speak to Leighton Snook in connection with the murder of Donald Ralph.

Investigators are looking to speak to a 28-year-old man in connection with the murder of 83-year-old Donald Ralph in Aldham, near Colchester.
