The sentence comes after Chelmsford drug-dealer Mohammad Mahaboob, 20, recruited a drug user to sell for him with the promise of being paid up to a £120 a day. The victim, a man in his 30s, took on the work to fund his own drugs habit, although was not paid and instead took some of the narcotics himself. Learning of his losses, Mahaboob ordered him to a flat in Romford where he proceeded to punch and kick him in the face and body for an hour.

A DRUG dealer who hid £73,000 of crack cocaine and heroin at his home, including inside his toilet cistern, has been jailed for five years. Jace Ennis was arrested in January after officers from Essex Police s Operation Raptor, who specialise in dismantling drugs gangs, attended his home as part of an investigation into a supply of drugs in north Essex and Suffolk. Officers found a bag containing 378 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin hidden inside the toilet cistern. Another 65 wraps were found inside the pocket of a jacket whilst another bag of drugs was also found inside the cistern. In total the drugs would have sold for between £36,530 and £73,060 on the streets.

Liam Hughes was jailed at Chelmsford Crown Court - Credit: Essex Police A drug dealer who ran an Essex supply line has been jailed after being caught with crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £13,000.  Liam Hughes ran the Aron drugs line in Clacton while on licence for previous drug convictions, Chelmsford Crown Court heard.  Essex Police s Operation Raptor North team began investigating the line in October 2020, and identified Hughes as responsible for its operation.  Hughes was arrested on January 28 when officers from Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Orochi team carried out a warrant at his home in St Marks Rise in Dalston, east London.
