A second assessment on January 20 found there was still ‘too high a risk’ for the vaccinating team to attend the Bishop’s Stortford care home and vaccinate the remaining residents. West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (WECCG) said in a letter to relatives that it was ‘not safe’ for staff to enter the home because it posed a risk to other GP patients if they were exposed to the virus.
HEALTH bosses have raised concerns over the extent to which frontline workers and patients will suffer mental health problems after the pandemic has ended. Suicide rates in Tendring and Colchester are the second and third highest in the country, according to the most up-to-date data from the Office of National Statistics. The jabs will be issued on behalf of the NHS North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group. Health and care professionals who work in the NHS do not need to register as their details are already on file - but independent providers who offer their services privately do need to make contact. Examples of those professionals providing face-to-face services encouraged to apply include occupational therapists, physiotherapists, radiographers and other allied health professionals, as well as mental health workers such as psychologists. Health care workers also include those working in independent, voluntary and non-standard healthcare settings such as hospices, and community-based mental health or addiction services.
