COVID-19 In Pennsylvania: State Health Department Reports 2,476 More Coronavirus Cases, 57 Deaths

HARRISBURG (KDKA) The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 2,476 new Coronavirus cases and 57 additional deaths.
This brings the statewide total to 1,166,692 cases and 26,447 total COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
There are 2,131 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19 and 467 patients are in ICUs.
The state says 8,939,043 vaccine doses have been administered so far, and 3,710,362 people are fully vaccinated. All Pennsylvanians 16 or older are eligible to get vaccinated.

HARRISBURG (KDKA) The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 4,607 new Coronavirus cases and 39 additional deaths.
This brings the statewide total to 1,151,005 cases and 26,218 total COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began. The state says a lab submitted about 300 test results dating back to December 2020 in Friday’s numbers, and another lab submitted a large file of results collected in the last three days.
There are 2,318 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19 and 522 patients are in ICUs.

Governor Tom Wolf and Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam released a weekly status update detailing the state’s mitigation efforts based on the COVID-19 Early Warning Monitoring System dashboard, highlighting a seven-day case increase of 21,167 a statewide percent positivity of 8.6% and 53 counties with substantial transmission status.
“This week we saw a decrease in reported cases and a lower statewide percent positivity – which is encouraging news,” Gov. Wolf said. “We need all Pennsylvanians to stay the course. We need to get vaccinated, continue washing hands, wearing a mask and social distancing.”

This brings the statewide total to 1,143,076 cases and 26,129 total COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
There are 2,448 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19 and 516 patients are in ICUs.
The state says 8,226,293 vaccine doses have been administered so far, and 3,292,263 people are fully vaccinated. All Pennsylvanians 16 or older are eligible to get vaccinated.
