Nepal faces Covid crisis amid political deadlock
Nepal s President Bidya Devi Bhandari has dissolved parliament and set a date for elections as Covid-19 adds to what was already a political deadlock. Some accuse Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of worsening the Covid crisis after he repeated claims that the virus is no worse than the flu. Al Jazeera reports in this YouTube video.

While promotional images of the city’s subway system often depict picturesque panoramas, the reality is a bit different. These are large underground tunnels used by millions of people every day, and they require a lot of upkeep! As much as we wish today’s subways were like the versions we see in Renaissance paintings, we have to live with the subways we have.
I created a book documenting the world of the Common House Monster. These whimsical creatures live right beneath our feet, sometimes almost literally, yet are rarely studied in the naturalist community. With perseverance and many plates of homemade cookies, I was able to gain their trust and learn their ways.
I m Carrie, an artist who loves creating whimsical things. My book Things that go Bump has been a long time in the making. For years I was too sick I have schizophrenia to work and complete my project. Finally, after much painful trial and error, I am on a treatment regimen that works, allowing me to create once again.
