Kevin Hart Has Signed on to Play Roland in the Borderlands Movie
The
Borderlands movie is moving ahead, getting another actor for one of its main roles. Kevin Hart has signed on to play Roland, the soldier. he joins Cate Blanchett, who is set to take on the role of Lilith, the Siren.
Roland is one of the four playable characters from the first
Borderlands game who becomes a key NPC in the stories of subsequent entries to the series. The only two playable character left to cast now are Mordecai and Brick, as well as getting a voice actor for the robot Claptrap. It’s unclear exactly what story they are adapting with the

Hart will have a dramatic role in Borderlands, unlike before
Kevin Hart is joining the Borderlands movie as the skilled soldier Roland, Lionsgate has announced, opposite Cate Blanchett as the legendary thief Lilith who was cast back in May last year. Hart is best known for his comedic chops, with his most notable acting role being the two Jumanji sequels. With Borderlands, Hart will take on a much more dramatic role. Eli Roth (Hostel) is set as director he joined last February on the Borderlands movie, whose screenplay comes from Emmy-winner Craig Mazin (

Tencent Holdings Limited is a major gaming and internet services conglomerate based in China. The company owns popular game developers such as Riot Games and has a 40% stake in Epic Games along with sizeable investments in major studios such as Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard, Bluehole, and more.
In 2020, Tencent had closed 300% more deals than it had in the previous year. However, Tencent does not seem to be content and is looking to acquire a major US or South Korean-based game studio.
This report comes via TMT Finance, which states that Tencent is
considering raising several billion dollars in a club loan deal and is holding talks with lending banks as the company looks at a potential acquisition of a gaming business (via Seeking Alpha).
