Palm Coast mayoral hopeful says weekly publisher told him not to run

Palm Coast Mayoral Candidate Alan Lowe is accusing the publisher of the weekly Palm Coast Observer of trying to push him out of the mayor’s race with threats of unleashing dark money against him. Lowe filmed a video he posted to YouTube last week in which he stands in front of the “Observer Plaza” sign and asserts the newspaper’s publisher tried to keep him from entering the mayor’s race because the publisher favors David Alfin. Lowe does not name the publisher, but he is John Walsh. Walsh, in an email to The News-Journal on Tuesday, denied Lowe s accusations. But Lowe insists the opposite.
