The Management of Auchi Polytechnic has summoned an emergency meeting over the death of Dr. Shola Eshiobo, the Dean of students’ affairs of the institution.
A Senior Staff of the institution hinted that Dr. Eshiobo was on Sunday morning found dead in his office barely 24 hours after he left home for work.
A source familiar with the incident quoted Eshiobo’s widow as saying that: “he left home on Saturday afternoon that he was going to the office to attend to some official matter. He normally goes to the office when he has so much in his hands to do.

NDLEA arrests 2 with 1,330kg suspected cannabis in Edo

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Edo on Wednesday said that it had arrested two suspects for allegedly peddling illicit substance.
Mr Buba Wakawa, the NDLEA Commander in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin that the suspects were arrested with 1,330 kg of substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.
“The suspects were arrested in Iyamho, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state. The suspects, in their confessions, claimed they were heading to Bauchi State from Uzebba, in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo,’’ he said.
