US Air Force
The US Air Force has released a new digital rendering of its B-21 Raider heavy strategic nuclear bomber, along with more information about the warplane. It s being built by Northrop Grumman as part of the Air Force s Long-Range Strike Bomber program to modernize one leg of the US nuclear deterrence triad, which consists of bombers, land-based missiles, and submarine-based missiles.
The latest rendering not only features an updated version of the delta-winged stealth bomber, but also has Edwards Air Force Base, California in the background, where the 420th Flight Test Squadron is tasked with planning, testing, analysis, and reporting on the flight and ground testing of the B-21.

LOS ANGELES, CA What thousands of people across the Southland thought was an earthquake Friday morning turned out to be a sonic boom that rattled windows over hundreds of miles. What caused the sonic boom, however, is a mystery.
The jarring boom occurred at about 9:20 a.m., prompting hundreds of people from Thousand Oaks to Huntington Beach to report an earthquake to the U.S. Geological Survey. The bulk of the reports came in from the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas.

New B-21 bomber to be stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base
July 8, 2021
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Air Force’s new B-21 bomber will be stationed first at Ellsworth Air Force base near Rapid City.
The Air Force says the nuclear bomber will be tested at Edwards Air Force Base in California before it becomes active at Ellsworth in the mid-2020s.
The B-21 Raider is intended to replace the B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit bombers to form a two-bomber fleet of B-21s and modified B-52s.
The Air Force awarded the B-21 design and manufacturing contract to Northrop Grumman in 2015. Plans call for constructing at least 100 B-21s at an average cost of about $639 million each.
