The quadruple threat acting, singing, daytime talk show hosting and activism can also now add a fifth accomplishment to her résumé: executive producing. Palmer (“Hustlers,” “GMA3: Strahan, Sarah and Keke,”) will executive produce the 11-episode series slated to premiere on the House of Mouse’s streaming platform later in 2021. In addition to Palmer, Josh Silberman, Sarah Happel Jackson and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman are executive producers.
Disney+ has announced its latest unscripted series,
Foodtastic a competition show where contestant teams must create whimsical, larger-than-life, Disney-inspired works of art with food.
Hosted by Keke Palmer (Disney+’s
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder), who also serves as executive producer, the 11-episode series has already begun production and is slated to stream later this year.
According to the streamer, in each self-contained episode, three teams will transform classic characters into “extravagant masterpieces” taken from Disney’s extensive IP. These sculptures including such ingredients as butter, cheese, fruits and vegetables will be judged on design, technical skill and narrative, not by taste. Any unused food will be donated to local food banks.
