Praj Industries has received an order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) for setting up Compressed Biogas (CBG) project at Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. Praj is offering its state of the art, worlds first of its kind RenGas technology developed using proprietary microbe to produce CBG from rice straw.
The project has capacity to process 35000 MT of rice straw as feedstock to generate 5250 MT of CBG annually.
In addition, the project will also generate 23,000 MT high quality solid biomanure and 350,000 MT of liquid bio-manure for ferti-irrigation. This project has a potential to save up to 15000 MT of C02 emissions per year. The project will be completed and commissioned within 12 months timeframe.
Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three (AWEKTL), a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy, commissioned a 100 MW Wind Power Plant in Kutch (Gujarat) 5 months ahead of its schedule. This is the 5th project commissioned before schedule by the company over the past 12 months.
The plant has Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at Rs. 2.82/kwh.
With the successful commissioning of this plant, the company has an operational wind generation capacity of 497 MW.
AGEL has total renewable capacity of 14,815 MW including 11,470 MW that have been awarded and are different stages of implementation. With this project the company has added total renewable capacity of 800 MW since the last 12 months the company has added despite the challenges of the COVID19 outbreak.
Benchmark indices further pared gains in afternoon trade. The Nifty slipped below the crucial 15,000 level. Gains were capped as the Brent crude futures surged above $70 a barrel on Monday, following reports of attacks on Saudi Arabian facilities. Higher crude oil prices could increase fiscal deficit, current account deficit and stoke fuel price inflation.
At 13:20 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 134.27 points or 0.27% at 50,539.59. The Nifty 50 index rose 47.45 points or 0.32% at 14,985.55.
Infosys (up 1.48%), Reliance Industries (up 0.89%) and Larsen & Toubro (up 3.55%) supported the indices. HDFC (down 1.09%), ICICI Bank (down 1.09%) and HDFC Bank (down 0.63%) were major drags.
The broader market was trading firm. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.43%. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index added 0.90%.
The visecra of Mansukh Hiren, who was in possession of the vehicle that was later found with explosives outside the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, has been sent to the forensic lab for analysis, police said on Saturday. The autopsy report of Hiren (46), who was found dead in a creek in neighbouring Thane on Friday morning, reserved the opinion on the cause of death, officials said. Hiren s body was fished out of the creek along the Mumbra-Reti Bunder road hours after his family registered a complaint about his disapperance with Thane police. The autopsy report received on Saturday mentioned that there were no visible external injuries, a police official said.
