The Congress leaders in Haryana have hit out at the ruling BJP-JJP government in the State, accusing it of ‘mishandling’ the ongoing situation in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic and demanded financial assistance to the families of those who have lost their family members.
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has sought financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each to the families who lost their members during the pandemic. He demanded a detailed and transparent survey be carried out to identify the affected families.

The Haryana Police on Thursday arrested two persons from Panipat for allegedly black-marketing Remdesivir injections, considered a life-saving drug in in treatment of COVID-19.
The police said three injections also recovered from the accused. According to an official statement the accused were identified as Imran and Manoj, both residents of Panipat district. Accused Imran was posted as area manager at a medical laboratory, while Manoj runs a medical store in a hospital.

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has hit out the ruling BJP-JJP government in Haryana of tardy lifting and sluggish procurement of wheat crop across the State.
Mr. Hooda said tall claims of the government about smooth procurement process have fallen flat and farmers were suffering adversely.
The former Chief Minister, who has been hospitalised due to COVID, said he has been receiving complaints from all over the State that procurement has not been timely, lifting was being delayed and several farmers have not yet received payments for their crops.

Interacting with the farmers and labourers at the Karnal food grain market, former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday accused the Haryana government of failing to make proper arrangements for procurement even though it had announced to start the process on April 1.
“In many places, farmers reaching the market with their crops are being harassed in the name of moisture, not registering on the web portal or on account of server being down. The government should co-operate with the farmers, and not do new experiments on them every day. The government should immediately stop making excuses and procure grains from farmers who are reaching the market with their crops,” he said.
