PPP MNA’s brother involved in drug case, alleges Haleem

KARACHI: The leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, on Monday said the arrest of six policemen of the Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) police Jamshoro by Rangers personnel who found 65 kilogrammes of charas on them was ample proof that police officials were carrying out dirty business in the province.
Sheikh, who is also a central vice president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), alleged in a press statement that Sarwar Rahupoto, the younger brother of Sikandar Ali Rahupoto, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA from Jamshoro, was directly involved in that big scam.

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized a large quantity of narcotics and arrested suspects during its operations in the twin cities.
The ANF said in a press release on Sunday that it had seized drugs comprised heroin, hashish, opium, methamphetamine (ice) and morphine.
It said the ANF and the police station ANF Rawalpindi conducted an intelligence-based operation in Gulistan Colony and recovered 5kg hashish from Mohammad Husnain.
In another operation, the ANF police station Islamabad intercepted a car on A.K. Brohi Road near Jamia Masjid Termazi, G-11, and recovered 400 ecstasy tablets (weighing 188 grams) from the possession of Hameed Khan and Said Amin, residents of Khyber district, and arrested them.
